We got into St. George last night.
Unfortunately we picked the one day of the year when they are having the “Parade of Homes”, a Softball championship and at least one convention.
So we called round all the hotels in town and finally found a room…

Steve Hobley works for a software company, but in his spare time likes to deconstruct all the lovely consumer goods with a goal to make unique and interesting things.
A few years ago he posted a short clip of the laser harp he developed, solely to show friends back in the UK.
Automagically that one clip got picked up by Gizmodo, Engadget and a bunch of other tech journals. The end result (apart from a ton of views on Youtube) was to get hired as a consultant for Little Boots – creating a laser harp for her 2010 US tour.

Drove through Zion National Park today. I have to say, not as impressive as the sights we saw in Page.
We get into St George really late tonight. Very tired – no hotel rooms. We call around and finally get a room at the Days Inn. If you ever decide to take a trip to St. George – stay at the Green Valley Spa. The Days Inn is a dive.
