As you can see from my website, I have built a few clocks in my short retirement days from the US Navy. I am using a version of an impulse circuit to drive a new 'weightless' pendulum clock that I'm building now. It's similar to your magnetic impulse pendulum driver but, a bit less sophisticated. I have resolved the many problems of the gear designs that you may find useful. I'd be happy to share my gear designs with you, especially if you might consider helping me with a few questions I have with my circuits! I'm not a EE, just a retired Naval Officer!
